This is a semi-ruined castle. It's roofless but there are rooms you can enter and a very uneven stone staircase to the first floor. Far reaching views over the local landscape. It's also mentioned in a famous poem called 'Cruikstan Castle's Lonely Wa's' by Scots dialect poet Robert Tannahill. No admission charge, staff, cafe or gift shop, although there are public toilets on the left as you enter the site.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately surrounded by a fence. A sign says open and costs and another says closed. And that's the way it was. (Original) Leider durch einen Zaun umgeben. Ein Schild sagt offen und kostet und ein anderes sagt geschlossen. So war es dann auch.
