SturdyBuild

We purchased a 3 bedroom 1930's house off Victoria Rd in Cambridge. We wanted complete rewiring, plumbing, the installation of a new underfloor heating system and some structural changes, including the construction of a small extension with bi-folds. Ed Sturdy worked patiently with us to understand what we required (including an eccentric request for a dog flap) and to advise us on the best ways of achieving this. He has a highly skilled and experienced team who not only gave us a high standard of work and finish, but were patient and courteous throughout. We need to finish some aspects of the project (such as the driveway), but we have been extremely pleased with the finished article. As with most building projects, there have been some snags along the way, but Ed and his project manager Craig have always been there to discuss these and provide solutions. We had a lot to learn along the way, but Audrey and I do not hesitate to recommend Ed's company.

Last year we had a rear single storey extension (including new kitchen fitting and adding a downstairs toilet), and a new front porch, and used SturdyBuild for both the planning and construction. The design phase with Ed was very straightforward and he was great at both clearly explaining and handling the various tasks involved in the planning, and therefore taking the stress out of the process for us! When it came to the build, his team were brilliant too; friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The were always punctual and accommodating to our needs, which was appreciated as we were working from home a lot of the time. We are very happy with the completed work and would have no hesitation recommending SturdyBuild for your next project!

We are absolutely delighted with the service and quality of the work undertaken by Ed and his team. The whole job was superbly choreographed, one team starting as another one finished. All the teams worked well together, communication was excellent and disruption kept to a minimum and all were courteous throughout. Everything was tidied away, cleaned and jet washed where necessary as the work concluded. We would have no hesitation in recommending Ed and his team to others.

We have had a large extension at the back of our house. We saw three builders and chose Sturdybuild because Ed was very professional and straight with us. It was definitely the right choice: everyone who has worked on the project has been a pleasure to have around:hard-working, punctual, polite and humorous. Craig, the foreman, consulted us regularly and gave us good advice at every stage. Costings were made clear throughout so that there were no nasty surprises, and the project was delivered on budget. We are delighted with the final result and have no hesitation in recommending Sturdybuild.
